Foreign Language and Global Society

IN TODAY’S GLOBAL SOCIETY,

learning a second language is an important part of a child’s development and is a significant advantage later on in life.

Our ability to acquire additional languages, understand other cultures and navigate systems of thought that are different from our own is essential. Research shows that students who are engaged in foreign language at an early age tend to perform better academically. Our Hebrew language curriculum also aims to develop a connection to the land of Israel and to Am Yisrael (Jewish global experience) through development of comfort and proficiency with the language. Our program focuses on Modern Hebrew and looks for familiarity in text and siddur (prayer book).
